    Is there any particular groups or activities happening in Cavan that I could join to meet new people?

    What are you interested in? There are loads of groups around, women's football and camogie, amateur dramatics, gaeilgeoiri, lesbians, animal rights, Christian prayer groups......

    But if you're not interested in the sort of stuff they'd be doing, then they won't be much use to you. If you list some of your hobbies or things you enjoy reading about, then maybe we'd be able to suggest something.

    I am interested in drama, not done any acting in the past but would love to get involved now. Be nice to do something new and really want to meet new people....any advise?

    Cavan hosts an Amateur Drama Festival every March so there must be some amateur drama groups in the county. Contact the folks in http://www.adci.ie/ to see if they can direct you further.
