Ok so I am being told let right and centre to go to about 4 different colleges to do something in computers. Software design to be specific.

I'm told DIT, DCU, DKIT and LIT are where I should go for x,y and z reasons.

I need first hand info on each one of these places for anyone here whos done similar courses.

I'm basing my choice on facilities, housing and overall course quality.

    Thanks in advance lads

It would be a good idea to try the respective college forums, although they will be a bit biased, so its a good idea to check the computers forum. Also, the computers course in UL is supposed to be the course for computers in Ireland.

    What type of Software Design?

@teckoda. Thats the thing i havent decided yet. I am big into gaming on most platforms but I think that general software that would be used on on windows. Alot of courses I've looked at places you in general software in the first year then you specialise from second year on.

BTW I'm in 5th year but I'd still rather have my facts straight early to apply to the right college.

Computer App in DCU looks pretty sweet. It's not my first choice on my CAO but, it looks fairly interesting all the same. The maths looks extremely hard though. The lecturer said to me that you should have no problems if you're doing higher level but, if you're doing ordinary prepare to work hard.
