If I got it nobody's safe.

Best keep calm, stay in doors and fix another toddy just in case.

See when a Doctor can get the flu -just shows how awful it is.

The poor lad thinks Mendoza is on X-factor.

You poor thing, you probably should have at least eight hot whiskey's.

You will then no longer be aware of the pain.

I hope you get well soon.

I'm actually dying here. I haven't got long to go as far as I know, and I should know cos I pretend to be a doctor on the internet. And you're mocking my terminal condition.
And there's still no ****ing cloves for my hot ****ing whiskey!

    No, you've got the sniffles.

A wimmenz cannot get man flu. It had evolved into a super flu virus that attacks the Y chromozome. It has evolved to be stronger than regular flu because men, on average are bigger and stronger than wimmenz. So when it affects us, it hits us harder. Science.

It must be a cold whiskey at this stage if you're waiting so long for your cloves..

Ah.. I'm not encouraging them.... I'm supporting them :D

If I'm in a good happy mood, I feel their pain and support them....

If I'm hormonal, I take the piss and slag them for being such wimps...

At the moment I am supporting them and feeling sorry for poor Dr. Bollocko because he is feeling sick.

    :)

I had the manflu for a whole week just gone. The doc(a woman doc that is) said it must be a 'viral infection'. I said to her, can you prescribe this suffering man an antidote?

She said no, just suffer and it will go away. Thats sexual discrmination in my view. I was flat out in feckin bed all day for at least 5 days and thats the sympathy I get???

If she got the manflu(I tried my best to cough in her direction), she'd certainly know how us poor men suffr from it!

I have to respond to this.

Remember the Swine Flu last year? Yes I got it not once but twice!

My OH slagged my off saying yeh riiiight you did not get it. But when I checked the chart of symptoms, I had the exact same symptoms as Swine Flu.
Now, why should I as a male have to suffer? I went to the doc the first time and I was refused entry because I was a man! FFS.

You see, why should men be discriminated against when it comes to diseases??

I'm sorry to say I'd have to agree with your Doctor's diagnosis.... To me it sounds like you had a viral infection.

Manflu is a serious serious illness. If you had in fact contracted manflu you might well be hospitalised by now.

    FACTS from The Lancet*

Manflu lasts much much longer than 5 days.

Manflu prevents suffererer from performing ANY household chores.

Manflu confines you to bed with only great sex, hot whiskey's and your favourite foods or beers being the only things allowed.

Manflu is very painfull, much more so than childbirth.

    * very liberally quoted from various issues of cut up articles in The Lancet.

Dr. B with the manflu? The End Times are coming, people! Prepare for Ragnarok!

May I suggest a slight improvement to your hot whiskey good sir? Stick the cloves into a slice of lemon and ladle a goodly amount of brown sugar in the bottom of the imbibing vessel of your choice. Perfection in a glass, and should ease the coming of the Apocalypse.

The poor Dr. is feeling miserable....he has no cloves....

You tease him with your recipe

Shame on you, teasing a sick sick man ...

We propose that estrogen-mediated inhibition of Csp-12L expression is a built-in mechanism that has evolved to protect females from infection.

...and that's all she wrote fellas. Nature has it in for us males.

Having the absolute worst bout of flu I've had in years right now

I'm having pains all over, one moment freezing cold and the next moment, and I was shaking uncontrollably this morning. The weirdest thing is that my sense of taste is gone

I've barely eaten all day, felt like I was going to vomit at any moment this morning, but I forced myself to eat something tonight and I was putting way too much salt on my food before I figured out that I wasn't able to taste anything. nothing at all! it feels so weird, I can get the texture of the food and I know what it should taste like, but there's just nothing.

    so weird :o
hope this doesn't last much longer, it's so freaky not being able to taste anything
