    University of Queensland researchers found young women had a better immune response to rhinoviruses, the viruses that usually cause the common cold. Unfortunately the discovery holds no benefit for blokes with the sniffles.

    "We definitely haven't been able to find a cure for man-flu," lead researcher Professor John Upham said.

    Female sex hormones were responsible for young women being able to fight cold viruses better than their male counterparts.

    "We noticed that when women reached menopause, their improved resistance to rhinoviruses faded away," Prof Upham said.

    I enjoy accentuating minor ailments. I had mild sniffles a while back, but I managed to convince my G.F and Mother that I was on my deathbed..
