Cycling along the N9/N10 from Leighlinbridge to Kilkenny town

Hey there. I'm considering cycling down to kilkenny from dublin in a week or two. My plan is to follow the grand canal to the barrow and cycle along that. Once I get to leighlinbridge I could follow the N9/N10, but I don't know if its possible to cycle it? Can anyone fill me in?
