Looking for an 8gb or 16gb usb drive - preferably a fast one - and not too large.

If small is what you want get a microsd card and a tiny reader. I have one about twice the thickness of a credit card, and minute, very good speed too since I have a genuine class 4 kingston in it.

This is the 8gb card £12 delivered, they have a class 2 for £1 less

How tough is the card reader rubadub?

I have a Sandisk Cruzer which I carry around in my pocket but as the USB bit just retracts it is prone to gathering fluff and could get damaged.

Is the card reader tough enough to be used on a keyring as pictured on the DX website?
