Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Gears of war 2 achievements bug

    was playing this for a few days and decided to get my brother in on co-op and local multi player to get some cheap achievements.

    Not a good idea

    I noticed that as soon as i killed him i noticed that i got a 1/11 for killing him with the pistol , odd i though as i knew for sure id killed something with that gun already , boom killed him with the lancer 2/11 .

    Went out and checked my stats in the war journal to find that all the achievments not realated to plot ie reload 30 times etc etc had been reset.

    Checked that this was indeed my profile and not my brothers lucky my save for the story side of things was intact.

    Not a big deal , bit of annoyance but just wanted to know if others had had this????????

    By the way the achievements i already got are still showing on the dash so not a total loss i guess

    Once you complete the acheivments that data becomes part of your online profile so will not be lost, unless Redmond burns down. Before you get the acheivments though it is just part of your save game on the console, so that local copy is what you have lost.

    Odd that someone else logging in with me caused that to happen though.

    The memory cache may have been cleared or the game saves deleted.
