Definitive PS3 thread.

Right, this seems to pop up every five minutes, so I reckon there must be a fair few of us interested in splashing the cash on a new PS3 - hopefully using the current state of the sterling to our advantage in the process so we save a few quid.

So, post in here any offers you find, I'll try and compile a list so we can compare and see what the handiest place to order from is. I'm just taking the normal, 80gig PS3 price and posting it up. Hopefully that will give us all a general guideline at the very least.

Ye probably know this but if you head up North, you'll get the best deal. The best deal up North I've seen is an 80GB PS3 with 3 games for £297.95. I saw this deal on hmv.co.uk so I presume the deal is in-store too.

I'm also looking for a PS3.

www.Gamestation.co.uk - not been able to ship orders which exceed 1000g.
Delivery for games £2.95. Usually good value on weekly specials.

HMV.com - "As stated on the web site, we are only able to send consoles to a registered UK billing address of the payment card being used on the order"

Shopto.net - don't seem to have any PS3 consoles at the moment.

Shopto seem to be the best bet if they get consoles back in. They usually have decent prices that rival Plays offers. That, or mosey on up to HMV and Argos in NI

Argos (up north) had a super deal just prior to christmas, PS3 80GB + Little Big Planet + Extra controller + Accessory pack (Stand, Blu Ray remote and possibly something else, but can't recollect). The total was £282. If this comes up again, and there's no reason as to why it won't, I think I'll purchase.
