A well known Golden Pages A4 ad company did an attic conversion a few years back. Quote included "fibreglass insulation walls and ceiling". Work appeared complete and we paid in full.

Ongoing problems with cold in attic over the years had me reopen the attic last month. Found bleeding polystyrene throughout the ceiling - no fibreglass. Polystyrene don't fill gaps and lets cold air in. Just a bit of fibreglass was stuck into the internal attic walls - covering more polystyrene! Had a really good guy from Lucan re-do the job. Spot on!

Having insulation or attic conversion done? Check what's really going into your roof before you pay. This talk-talk chappie had very good references local to us... but were they fooled as well....?
