Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

hey lads i want to make recovery dvds for my current vista state, several times i've had to reinstall windows using my year old recovery discs, and as you know there have been a ton of updates since then, its takes nearly 12 hours to update and its alot of hassle, yesterday i tried acronis true image 2009, i had my vista partition fully backed up the way i wanted, ready for restoring any time, thing is it failed twice when i tried to back up from my external hdd, so i had to do the old way again, the acronis backup was nearly 16gigs? as before i got the backup on 2 dvd's

i dont want to use the built in recovery maker as it only makes an image of whats on the recovery d: drive, which is outdated

any program to make me bootable recovery disks in current state, ie with all updates, any help appreciated thanks

ASR is not available in HOME versions of Vista otherwise you could look at automated system recovery

was the acronis backup compressed ?
did you delete temporary files and other stuff that grows

it's best to backup the OS while it's not running , live linux CD's are great for this sort of stuff and don't need licenses like ghost or similar
