    4.Civil Law-UCG
    5.Law(and Arts)-NUIM
    etc. . . .

I am still unsure of what to put down on mine. I am very interested in the health and I'd like to work in a hospital but unfortunately I am doing only 1 science subject so I can't put down "Human Health and Disease"... Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Radiation Therapy are all courses I would love to do but I'm unsure if I could achieve those points. But I suppose.. there's no harm in putting them down anyway..

Dropout rate elsewhere is higher *cough* UCD *cough*

You arrange your CAO in ORDER OF PREFERENCE. The more you want it, the higher up it goes. Don't think about the points.

    ORDER OF PREFERENCE.

Wow, the big three. You know PupleFistMixer means business! :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,851 ✭✭✭PurpleFistMixer

I considered putting my whole post like that, but then the important words might have been lost.

  • Registered Users Posts: 516 ✭✭✭Gloom

True, however it is probably a lost cause. No matter what,I believe there will still be mass confusion over the CAO form.

If you really want to do medicine why not put down all 5 courses considering the competition is so high (and its going to be worse this year).
    My CAO
    Medicine galway
    Medicine ucd
    Medicine RCSI
    Medicine TCD
Medicine UCC (and i've never even been to Cork)
    Pharmacy TCD
    Pharmacy RCSI
    Pharmacy UCC
    Biomedical science UCD
    Radiography UCD

    3. RC001 Medicine - RCSI

    5. CK701 Medicine - UCC
    6. TR072 Pharmacy - TCD
    7. TR056 Human Health and Disease - TCD
    8. DN037 Biomedical, Health and Life Sciences - UCD
    9. TR075 Medicinal Chemistry - TCD
    10. GY301 Science - NUIG

This is subject to change, I'm thinking I might be interested in Psychology, and I sort of rushed the order, I'll probably put TCD above NUIG for Med.

Yeah, as far as weve been told, you can chop and change till 1st Feb. Then its 'locked' till May or June. Then you can make your last few changes and finally submit!

What have you against Galway Piste?:( It's a nice place!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,851 ✭✭✭PurpleFistMixer

Actually, recent studies have shown that 100% of Galway is composed of pain, misery and suffering. The individual breakdown between these three elements remains a source of debate, however.

Well the HPAT results will be valid for 2 years so if you don't the get results you want this year you could repeat and apply again next year. You shouldn't be so negative. There's always a way!

Yes, once you've completed your application on-line you can chop and change as much as you like before 1st Feb. I changed my choices for the 4th time today. :)
