The Kemmy Business School in UL is held in higher regard than the Quinn business school in Ireland, or so I've been told.

Either way a higher proportion of students in UL do business when compared to UCD.

    1. DN020 Actuarial and Financial Studies
    2. DN032 Mathematical Science
    3. DN031 Theoretical Physics
    4. TR031 Mathematics

Just applied today to get it out of the way.
It's an alpha version, there's much to be added and most likely changed.

Woahh barely anyone thinking of UL. This time last year all I wanted to do is go to UCD and then in august I got UL and since then loved every minute. The college is amazing its easy to get cheap accomodation, and drinkkk :D. We have amazing sports facilites and if you live in Thomond village you can see the lights from Thomond parkk.
We also got a long wibbly wobbly bridge and the iron man!

UCD, DCU, TCD and NUIM don't have any of that :P

I know its so strange, everytime a thread like this appears on the leaving cert board UL is largely unnoticed... at least in comparision to the other universities.

Never heard of this iron man though?

You know brown thomas whos right in front of the main building??

Lol got into the habit of calling him iron man because last time I told friends to meet me at Brown thomas they ended up in limerick city and I was in UL

I'd like to see what scale people are using to compare UL and UCD business schools. Where does THES rank UL overall? How about any MBA rankings? If people are going by anecdotes, I have one of a UL economics lecturer describing the type of student there. It's quite in the face of what's being described here.

From what I've heard, UL is supposedly one of the best in Ireland. I'm not sure how it compares to UCD; but, it's still meant to be pretty good. (Just don't do maths/physics in UL!)

Quinn school is held in a higher regard. And I'm not biased as I'm still in l.C year.

I really hate having to decide with the current economic climate in mind, as if deciding what you may or may not do for the rest of your life isnt a big enough decision already..oh well!

All I'll say is keep away from architecture, present students are all being told by their lecturers to prepare to emigrate to eastern europe when they graduate. Zero jobs to be found here and not many to be found in the old reliables of australia, england, canada and the us.
Plus, by the time you graduate, even if you come out top of the class, there will still be 5 years or so worth of graduates from all over the country out competing with you for the very few oppurtunities available.

Just so you know, computer science and computer engineering would be vastly different
courses, you'd want to research the course content a good bit.
