I just logged onto my application and it says the change of mind facility is open until 17.15 1st March 2009 for a 10euro fee.

But then on the CAO website it says 1st July is closing date for change of mind? Wah?

17.15 thing is only if you made a mistake and it's urgent that you make some changes...

Applicants who need to change their course choices at this time are:
those who made an error or omission in Restricted- Application Courses or
mature applicants who made an error or omission in their course choices or
those applying to certain HEIs and presenting certain qualifications

For the rest of us it's first May

I think the change of mind now costs money. The one that opens up again in May is free.

Ya the one in May that closes again in July is free. The reason why you have to pay €10 now is to stop people coming on and changing their application every 5 minutes because now they are processing all the applications and getting everyones personal information set-in-stone. Once they have that done they open it again for free and you can change your application as many times as you wish until the final closing date!

Yeah, there was no real panic to get your real choices before 1st Feb, you still have plenty of time after the Leaving to actually find courses too. I've only got one real choice down so far, and a few others I just put down for the sake of it.

You can add in courses as long as they're not restricted - like medicine where you had to do an aptitude test or like art or music where you would need a portfolio or interview

check on your cao book that none of the courses you want have restricted next to them!!:D
