    Hi,

    Is there much value in scrap metal these days? I have two metal bunk beds that I need to get rid of and was wondering if they might be worth anything as scrap metal...

    Not really.For scrap value to be worth bothering with you need LOTS of valuable metals such as copper or brass.Copper is 1500 per tonne or therabouts.I remember me and a friend filling a small car till it was on its axle with brass taps and copper pipes and getting 50 euro.
    You'd be better off taking them down the recycling centre.
