Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I will be moving to the states for about 6 months and would like to take my console with me. Are there any issues like games and Live that I should know about. And should I purchase a transformer for the 110 voltage that they have in the states?

Some advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Well I think X360's are region locked so you wont be able to buy and play any new games in the states when you move, you will have to ship games from Europe or region free games from Asia. There are ways round the region lock but its massively illegal, invalidates warranty and Microsoft will leave burning bags of poo on your doorstep if you do it.

You will need a step-down/ step-up transformer (not sure which) or your console will just fry if you plus it straight in.

Live I am not sure about, you can change the "region" setting in the dashboard and i think it checks the IP you use to connect to validate, not too sure.

I have an NTSC machine here, bought it in the states when i was on haneymoon

you'll have to get a transformer or buy an american power block

Also games are region locked so you'll have to buy the games in Europe and ship them out

you shouldn't have any problems connecting to Live. I play all Us games here in Dublin and never have a problem

Might be better for you to just buy ax xbox over their and some games and when your leaving sell em on or bring em home
