    a chairde,

this may be a simple Q:

I am converting my attic (which has no insulation at the moment).

How would you recommend I insulate the attic ceiling?

    1. Kingspan / Extratherm Insulation slab - how many mm ?
    2. Superquilt over this - anyone know if this is effective?

    Many thanks,
    H4L

    CKeire,

    great photo series.
I was hoping to cover the insulation boards with quilt insulation,
which would provide an extra degree of insulation but also
    cut down on drafts.
I notice you mentioned about the non-standard gaps etc,
the quilt could cover over these?

The 10mm gap you have left for air is interesting.
I know you have to leave breathing space for wood.

I know you mention about the air going up to the loft behind the board
and up to the APEX of the roof.
Where does this air ultimate go?

    Well done,
    H4L.
