Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Liverpool's clash at home to Merseyside rivals Everton is the highlight of the FA Cup fourth round draw.

I predict a repeat of the last time we met Liverpool in the cup in 1990/91, without the need for a second replay :D

Lets hope we're not denied a stone wall pen again ala Pat Nevin in the first game in 1991!

Made up about this.:) Chance to end their season twice within the week. The god's have been good to us. Also gives Torres a good chance to get his goal count up this season after all the injuries. Nice to see a small club get a chance to play at Anfield. Should be a good day out for them. :D

Is this gonna be the 4th round thread?

If so, Blyth Spartans/Blackburn v. Sunderland could be a cracking fixture if Blyth get through. A non league team from Newcastle, the majority of who's players are Toon fans, playing the Mackems in the SOL. Could see that being a sell out, with alot of the Toon army heading to cheer on Blyth.

Tough decision for a lot of Liverpudlians that week. To fly back home to Norway or stay for the week ;)

Didn't you hear? Our stadium is unsafe. From past experience of being at the game the extra seats are fill by the lot across the park who are obviously unaware they are putting their lives in danger

I'd say Robbie wouldn't be able to score in The Grafton at the moment, never mind the derby.

Is it just me or are Chelsea the luckiest team in the world when it comes to FA Cup draws? Here's their fixtures in the first three rounds of the Cup the past 5 years:

    08-09
    home vs Ipswich
    home vs Southend

    07-08
    home vs Huddersfield
    away vs Wigan
    home vs QPR

    06-07
    home vs Norwich
    home vs Notts Forest
    home vs Macclesfield Town

    05-06
    home vs Colchester
    away vs Everton
    home vs Huddersfield

    04-05
    away vs Newcastle
    home vs Birmingham City
    home vs Scunthorpe

Now compare that to Man Utd:

    08-09
    home vs Spurs
    away vs Southampton

    07-08
    home vs Arsenal
    home vs Spurs
    away vs Aston Villa

    06-07
    home vs Reading
    home vs Portsmouth
    home vs Aston Villa

    05-06
    away vs Liverpool
    away vs Wolves
    away vs Burton Albion

    04-05
    away vs Everton
    home vs Middlesbrough
    home vs Exeter

Neither, just a handy post I found on a different forum.

Speaking of Liverpool/Everton though, don't forget that the Toffees can have up to 6,000 traveling supporters in the ground, so it'll make for an amazing atmosphere. Akin to United/Liverpool in the FA Cup back in 99.

The last 4pm Sunday derby there were thirty three arrests after it, hence the need for the mid day games ever since.

Nasty atmosphere had been building up all day prior to the game around the ground. Anfield was it's usual with stuff lowered from the upper tier upon us. Atmosphere after the game was horrible, mind you that might have been due to leaving Chibuku/Cream at 8am that morning :D

Bad idea to have it at 4pm, very bad.

I remember been at a 7.45pm derby a good few year ago. That evening was not nice in Liverpool at all. Alot of very drunken people. Then again it was a good friday game also. But pubs all around were been shut down.

Isn't Gerrards court appearance in between the two games as well? Should be an intersting week on Merseyside!
