Here's the offending thread that got me the 6 months

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055446109

    Here's my offending post:

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=58425368

I was pm'd by a Moderator that I was getting a warning for "Breach of the Peace" - if anyone wants to read the thread you'll see that I sustained abuse on it but never gave any out... but I got the "infraction" - I then told the Moderator that he'd want to take a long look at himself as the reason for the infraction was "pathetic" especially considering the abuse I took on the thread which at that stage had been complately ignored. He replied saying my pm was bordering on abuse.

I got another pm from another Mod stating that I was being banned for 6 months from the Soccer Forum.

The double standards by the Mods on the soccer forum is pathetic, I got previous infractions for calling someone a troll, that has happened many times on that thread but no infractions handed out.

Are we allowed share pms with the Mods on this Board or is it against the rules?

The gist I got was that you were moderated for dragging the thread off topic, into the semantics of the terms soccer and football. Getting called a troll is not personal abuse.

Firstly this should be taken to Helpdesk as you get idiot posts like above here.

Tbh it does seem a bit much to be banned for 6 months for the post , unless you said alot more wrong in the PM's.

Edit: just read through the rest of it, you took it way off topic.

6 months though seems a tad harsh .

might your 6 months have been aggrivated by your behavior in other areas of the soccer forum?

Against the rules. Have you actually discussed it with the moderator?
I'd say http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/modutils.php?username=bobbysands81&action=history [You won't see it], http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/member.php?u=40236&tab=infractions#infractions, and http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/member.php?u=40236&tab=infractions&page=2#infractions might also have something to do with a 6 month ban.
    [Summary: 4 bans, 7 infractions...sorry, 1 was for another forum. ]

Moved to the Help Desk forum.

This is not your first ban from that forum, hence the extended length this time.

The soccer rules state that 6 minor rule breaches (signified by yellow card infractions) will get you a season long or 6 month ban, which ever is the longer of the options.

You were warned quite recently that you were on your final chance having amassed the full number of infractions but not actually given the ban - season goodwill and all that. You then posted in a thread breaking the rules and the ban was put in place (you deleted the post sure, but having reviewed the content, I deleted the goodwill).

We don't give out 6 month bans or perm bans lightly, but when we do, I believe they are deserved.

If nothing else, this shows you haven't read the rules and when your ban expires I will require you to go through the soccer access request forum where I will personally oversee your re-admission,
