Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey Gus I'm new to Boards.
    Yea what i'm acquiring about is...
    I have an eircom 7MB connection with the simple Netopia router and anytime I go on xbox I get Lag! I mean like it take about 1-5 minutes for a profile to load up and Ingame lag aswell. Even when I have the xbox connected through an ethernet cable I get lag same as when I use Wireless adapter. So any suggestions what I should do?
    I also forgot to mention, I have 3 Laptops, 1 Desktop and a PS3 on this connection also. So would anybody know what to do?

    Hey There, Try checking your connection speed through www.speedtest.net
    I've found that sometimes the advertised speed from Eircom is not always available.

    turn everything else off bar your xbox ??

    this might have something to do with the way eircom have setup the 7MB package. There is a thread somewhere in the broadband forum that can explain the exact details. AFAIK the 3MB option is the best option for online gaming with live

    If you have torrents running or Limewire open, it could be the problem.

    I had Limewire open on my pc once (6mb digiweb) and I couldn't connect to Xbox Live at all. It was literally raping the connection. Funny thing was, i wasn't even uploading or downloading anything. Don't have any explanation for it at all... closed Limewire and everything worked perfectly.

    Odd.

    aye, a ps3, 3 laptops, and a desktop, thats gonna muck up the connection, just make sure the ps3 is off, the computers aren't running anything that takes up loads of internet, like youtube streaming, or downloading music or whatever. your router is overloaded, ive got the same at mine, and even when my bro is on the desktop watching vids on youtube, i get bad lag.
