Not really... "Let's all jump on the criticise-the-semi-original-idea-for-a-thread-that-might-prove interesting" bandwagon, good job folks.

Also seems pretty relevant to motors, road trips are a petrol head thing thru-and-thru if you ask me.

So, in an attempt to rescue this thread, which will undoubtedly fail:
The car is a 6-pot BMW which will do 30MPG for me, optimistically.
The trip? Dublin > Hollyhead > Dover > Calais > Paris > Nurburgring > Munich (bmw factory) > Lake Constance > Alps > Stelvio Pass, Possibly onto Monaco.

Then meander home somehow..!
