I am looking to buy a netbook. To be honest I know pretty much nothing about them. I do not mind which type type of hard driver . I am not adverse to having Linux but I would prefer Xp.

I can afford to spend max of 350 euro, I would like as much battery life as possible and a web cam.

    Samsung NC10, review here
6-7 hour battery, XP, 160 GB hard drive

Price in Ireland is around the €370-400 mark.

You can pick it up from the UK for much less.
TheHut.com have it for approx €325 inc delivery

    or €345 from www.dabs.ie

Excellent feature on netbooks in the London Independent today (Tuesday, January 13th).

Hopefully you see this in time to get your hands on a copy...

Go quick to thehut.com, use discount code JAN10 before noon 14th Jan and u can snag one for £288 with free delivery, so about €300 all-in

EDIT: Other posts suggests that discount shows OK but then thehut will not honour it
