Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Actual sound of space!

Pfffffft! Sounds like something I would whip up for an ambient track!

I kept expecting to hear "Space......... the final frontier. These are the voyages of the........" while listening to that.

It doesn't really get going until the 2 minute mark. I wouldn't get too excited though. You can probably achieve a similar "speech pattern" effect by fiddling with the pitch of many sounds that are nothing of the kind.

I watched this on my work PC and there are no speakers on it. The video was no great shakes!!

Sounds like a noise reduction filter way overdone tbh.

Pfftt..everyone knows there's no sound in space as Professor Hubert Farnsworth proved in Futurama.
    It smells.
Each planet has it's own distinct smell.
For eg Uranus smells like the toilet bowl the morning after 10 pints of guinness and a curry.

In space no one can hear you scream yawn.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

Yeah but they did do some processing on it to make it sound like speech patterns. I'm just saying I wouldn't be jumping up and down over this. It's probably just the noise of some natural phenomenon.

haha dont worry i dont think its life in outer space or anything, i think its cool tho to think that this noise was created by noise outside the earth (allbeit edited to get it to the rite frequency for humans to hear it)

It's kinda stupid when in the intro it says there is evidence that the sound is caused my meteorites colliding into ice and then suggest that it's aliens.
