Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Samsung 32" LCD TV - DVD playing issues

    Hi guys,

I was wondering can anyone help regards playing DVD's through my new Samsung LCD TV.

The TV seems great regards picture quality and all that but when I put on a dvd the alignment of the picture seems to adjusts downwards. e.g. if you put of the subtitles you can only barely see the top of the letters and no more so there is a few inches of the picture off the bottom of the screen.

Anyone have any ideas what is causing this? Do I need to get a new dvd player that can upscale to the picture quality of the tv or something? The Philips DVD player I have is about 4 years old at least

Hi, I too have a setup like that, samsung 32" and an old > 5 year Philips DVD player. I have it connected via scart with no issues. I don't recall having to change/setup anything.

Firstly check the cable is seated correctly, at both ends.
There may be 2 scart inputs on the TV - EXT1 and EXT2 are the standard source labels, try changing to a different connnection.
Also, try using a different cable.

That's all I can think of at the moment.
