TM G3/SG1 disassembly

Does anyone know how to properly take apart the upper receiver and cocking tube on the SG1? I have remove the gearbox and lower receiver and have hit a brick wall. The problem seems to be the front hand grip, I'm not sure how to remove it without splitting it in 2. Thanks.
