Saw these on a few S Classes and whatnot. Thought they looked fairly decent.
Any clues to where I would find them, quality being paramount.

Real Chrome metal ones or the wannabe plastic ones?

I have two in the boot of my car. It would not fit the front due to the unique bumper and it looked tacky on the back so kept them just in case I have a change in heart or go more Chavvy.

The metal ones are usually a plate you screw the number plate onto.

The plastic ones. You screw it onto your car and you slide your number plate in and close the clasps. You dont even need to drill your number plate.

You can get both in any motor factors or accessories shop.

Exactly the ones I have which i paid €25 each.

They are very good quality. Just make sure that if you are buying them they take up an extra 15mm on either side of the plate so you should check if you are can accomodate the extra space. My front bumper will not but my boot would.
