Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My advice is, don't, unless you only want to light a bicycle lamp and don't mind the noise!

Are home turbines really that bad? I had been thinking of attempting to make one to light a small shed as a project.

Great, I have one, a home built Hugh Piggott, 2.4m diam. runs several lights, fridge, and tv, most of the time! But need an independent tower as high as possible 12m maybe even more (although only allowed 12m without planning) and on the flat preferably high ground, away from buildings trees etc...
If you google wind turbine and wind turbulence, you'll get some info.
    good luck.

you need 20m clearance around or planning permission so effectively rules out usage in urban / suburban areas
