Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What trade fixes washing machines?

I have a Whirlpool washing machine that has developed a fault and I need to get it fixed. I have read horror stories of Whirlpool and the length of time it takes for them to respond so I thought of using "onlinetradesmen.com" but don't know what trade to choose.
Plumbers might be the obvious choice but I wouldn't expect them to be service engineers who are familiar with each type of machine.
    Can anyone advise me please?

Many service engineers would be electricians that the companies would have trained to fix appliances. You should be able to find an independant appliance repair company in the golden pages. (or similar)

    Hiya,
Not sure where you're based but there's a guy I've used - calls himself Beaumont Electrical in Beaumont (surprisingly!). He's fixed my old dryer and also sold me a new washer - I found him reliable, handy and decent too! I looked up onlinetradesmen for a different job and a guy from greystones rang me which ain't local contrary to what they say!.

    Cheers,
I originally put up the request so that I could look up the guys myself in onlinetradesmen. Unfortunately I never found out!
Subsequently, I tried some of the "experts" web pages that provide tradesment to guide you through the logic of figuring out what's wrong with your machine. Didn't work out but I learned a lot!
I called Whirlpool. That didn't work out at all.
So I ended up, against all my green aspirations, dumping my old machine and buying a new one.
Anyhow, thanks to you I have a new name to add to my list. Hope he's still there when my new machine dies eventually.
    Thanks,
    Paul.
