Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ok, so I'm a little confused and could do with advice/opinions on this...
I submitted a Tax Credits & Incomes application on 31st December via PAYE Online, and included my med1 claim for health expenses... I didn't think I would get much relief back (was expecting about 200-400 if even that..) but I got an email in my online account with my P21 statement telling me that they took overpayments from me and a treatment of the result was to pay me €2931 into my back account - now I know this seems pretty awesome - but I'm not entirely sure if I should be getting this..?? I'm afraid to call them on it in case they accidentally gave me this...and I'm afraid to take the money in case I get into trouble... Can anyone explain this to me?

You should be able to work out your correct PAYE taxation for 2008 by hand (20% of your salary up to your Standard Rate Cutoff point, 41% on the balance, then subtract your annual tax credits) - see your 2008 tax credit cert for your own figures. You can then adjust this by the application you made on 31 Dec to see what you actually should have paid, and whether the refund is correct.

I'd come clean with Revenue if a mistake has been made, as there's always a chance that you could be audited in the future for some other issue. Don't spend the money yet!
