Have the van nearly 2 years and only this week has this started.
Front, passenger and tailgate are fine.
Takes ages to thaw out, or about 10 mins after going around with kettle!

    Any ideas??

Take all the rubbers off the frames on a frosty night:D

Ask for rubber treatment / seal spray in your local motor factors and grease/treat the seals with that.

Constantly wetting the seals with the kettle only makes it worse btw, as some moisture is retained only to freeze again.

Dry the rubbers with a paper towel the night before (as mentioned, you're probably making the problem worse as the kettle-water from the morning is freezing at night)

Peasant is right. There are special products just for this. BMW do one called Gummi Pflege that is perfect.

    Thanks everybody.
Popped out there to give the seals a wipe and the doors are frozen shut already:pac:

I'll head to the motor factors tomorrow..

If you can't get your hands on grease, silicon oil spray from Atlantic Homecare or Woodies will do the trick. Just spray it onto the seals.
