Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Fletcher is awesome in big games, particularly Chelsea for some reason, definite starter imo.

Ye i think Gnev will start instead of Raf, Cant understand some people claiming Gnev is ****e going forward, complete and utter bull, hes more direct than Raf imo, hugs the touchline and doesnt cut inside as much as Raf.

I think most are just of the opinion that Neville has lost a bit of pace and is unable to get up and down as effectively as in the past thus slowing down uniteds countering attacks at times.

Rafa showed againsts City he can handle the big games, although to be fair Neville has improved last two games albeit not against the best of opposition, tough tough decision.

I'd go with Rafael personally, I wouldn't be overly confident with Neville, he was absolutely destroyed by Nasri.

Not good news. No rio, no carrick, no scholes, Giggs in the center. This could turn out very bad.

So angry , I cant see how giggs is going to keep chelsea midfield quiet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,172 ✭✭✭NaiveMelodies

Come on lads, don't doubt fergie, blame rafa...

But seriously, less of the over reacting would be appropriate, ffs. Remember its still 0-0

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,777 ✭✭✭✭keane2097

Half the team must have diarrhoea or something...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,678 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

so let me get this straight fergie expects giggs to dominate midfield

fergie must be having a laugh

so if carrick is injured why no scholes or even anderson

    its a total joke

biggest game of the season and thats the midfield he has

    words fail me

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,677 ✭✭✭Chong

Surely Scholes is fit enough to start ahead of giggsy.

Scholes, carrick and Anderson all on the bench. Surely one of them must be fit.

I wouldn't play him after his shambolic press conference friday to be honest - his mentality is questionable...

Giggs dominated the Everton midfield this season, a midfield which consisted of Pienaar, Osman, Fellani and Arteta, not shabby at all. Wouldn't write him off as the wink link yet.

    Still WTF??

I'd rather Scholes to Giggs or failing that Carrick but I'll keep faith in Fergie and at least Nani's dropped.

Just been on SSN that that's the team. Not the worst, but no where near the best team we could put out. Not confident of a win now though

Pretty damn nervous, I'm not going to comment on the midfield lets not try sound like the other crowd with all the negative BS before a ball has been even kicked.

    Strong Chelsea side.

Ferguson will have no bother changing Giggs at the break for one of the CM, I think he could be matching them 4-5-1.

lol its kinda funny between the 2 teams theres nearly the right number of central and wide players. Chelsea aren't playing a single natural wide midfielder. Deco, Ballack, Lamps and Cole all do their best attacking when allowed to come central. Ordinarily this means things get cramped, but with only Fletcher there really to combat them, i see this match being won by chelsea in the very middle of the park, with United not being given a lot of chances to hold onto posession and Mikel doing an almost man marking job on Ronaldo.
