Straight from the training ground. Vidic and berb had that planned out.

    It's so sweet

Going to be between Utd and Pool now imo, this Chelsea team look like they don't believe they are good enough to challenge.

United playing well and look like they have more to give too, great desire and belief that comes from Sir Alex you have to admire how after all these years in change he can still get that from his team

Told you they had more, strolling now to an easy victory

Vidic playing like a Defensive Lineman blocking a couple of lads off there :)

No more than what defenders get away with in the area.

Be fair - united have been excellent. Put them to the sword.

what a weekend to be a united fan.:)

    absolutly disgracful tackle from belletti.

cant believe tevez isnt on yet
    No need for him!

Chelsea are absolute garbage and have thrown any chance at the title away.

I don't think United have been excellent, but they are well worth their win here today. They haven't had to play brilliantly, Chelsea have offered nothing. Scolari has to be in trouble, time is not a luxury he will have at Chelsea.

Yes but that Chelsea team aren't themselves. Scolari against the big teams just isn't up to it or so it seems.

Chelsea have been toothless - Drogba and Bosingwa being a few yards off the pace particularly damaging. Utd deserve the win - and margin of victory.

dunno i honestly think ye could struggle against wigan..they are the surprise team in the league this season..will be a tough game. ye by no means have the 6 points in the bag that ye need to get ahead of the pool..will be a good title run in anyway im sure

edit to say that i hope for drogbas sake that evrybody related to milan are too busy preparing for their game with roma today to have watched his performance today or they may not want him anymore...looks like drogba of his first season in epl

    Man of the match

tough choice its between vidic, evans, park and giggs

    Giggs for me

Should have been a free kick out with Vidic blocking off the defenders

But when Terry does it, it is good defending.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,591 ✭✭✭✭Aidric

Absolutely delighted with this result. Utd were dominant without playing exceptionally, Chelsea were shambolic.

Mikel, Lampard and Deco should have been bossing the midfield today. They were all terrible with Lampard being the epitome of a small time player.

thought Ronaldo was actually quite good today as well. Very unlucky not to have a goal out of it. Some lovely touches.

The worst I have seen of Chelsea in a very long time. They couldn't string a move together for their life, truly awful passing. Even Lampard was guilty of it.

Great result with 2 easy games in comparison coming up. Didn't play to their full potential but didn't need to with Chelsea playing so bad.

True we don't have the six points in the bag, what we do have now though is control. Our fate is in our hands, and IMO that is massive.

Every single player today was fantastic. Our best performance of the season.

I am so happy , why do I doubt Fergie.

    Great weekend all round.

    COME ON UNITED

So many things to be happy about.

Giggs, park, vidic, evans playing out of their skin.
Ronaldo looking dangerous like the Ronaldo of last year.
Three very important points in the bag.
Berbatov having mostly crap game but still getting an assist and a goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,326 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

A great win For United, that makes it 8 matches unbeaten now, and they havnt conceded in those 8 games either.

Considering they normally have their best form towards the end of a campaign, it looks at the moment like they will retain the title and equal the record of championship wins.

Have to say United have the league to lose now

just shows how bad chelsea are

I think some credit for this win must go to Rafa over at Anfield, nothing like a good outbursts by one of our rivals to spur us on and not only that but to have an impact on his owns teams result too.

    What a weekend for United.

Champions, European Champions, and Champions of the World

Abit harsh considering the preformances giggs park and fletch put in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Drogba in particular looks like a shadow of the player that he once was.

    I WAS SO VERY WRONG

    Giggs was excellent.
    Neville was very good.
    Evans was excellent.

QFT, cant remember the last time I seen Chelsea play so bad. The players need a kick up the ar$e in a bad way, cant see it coming though.

Aye, not unusual for the thoughts of united fans to turn to liverpool before, during, and after every match no matter the opposition :-)

Should have been a free kick out with Vidic blocking off the defenders

This is laughable, if that should have been a freekick what about Carvalho pulling the jersey off Ronaldo's back in the box in the first half? Why didn't you point that one out, eh?

You are clutching at straws. I guess Chelsea deserved to win too? Fcuk the begrudges.

    3-0 to the Champions

    Giggsy, Man of the Match

What a strange match. Im still trying to figure out what I just saw.
Utd. were out to trick Chelsea all day with setpieces and to my mind it came off twice.
Smells of training ground effort the way the 3 goals went in. AFAIR though that is our first big scalp of the season. Great to have our fate in our own hands but there is still a whole lot of season left yet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,046 ✭✭✭eZe^

That was honestly the most boring 3-0 win I've ever seen and I'd almost include rugby in that :P, not that United or their fans will care, Chelsea played like a neutered dog, they were deservedly disposed of.

true, but dont forget that the pool also have their own fate in their hands!!! if we win our last 17 games we are champions, same goes for utd but ye have two more games in which ye can slip up

More like today's game proved how bad chelsea really are at the moment.
