TFT & wireless accessories questions

I'm looking to replace my current 19" monitor, keyboard and optical mouse. I'm not a gamer and I'm only using the computer for college work (theses, CAD, graphics). I'll probably spend hours at a time using these. I'm on a budget too, and my absolute limit is €220.

I'm thinking of buying an 22" TFT monitor (seemingly 22" is the best size as value for money goes right now) and a wireless keyboard mouse combo. I've been eyeing up some stuff on hardware versand because I bought my PC from them over the Summer and been completely satisfied, and even factoring in the €30 in delivery the LCD prices still seem competitive.

I've a few questions though, because I've never owned a TFT monitor and I've never owned or even used a wireless keyboard or mouse once.

    Monitor Qs:

The monitor has to work with a PC running XPsp3, and since the computer doesn't have a graphics card it has to run on my motherboards - a "gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2H, NVIDIA nForce630i, mATX, PCI-Express" which according to the page has
    HWV specs wrote:

(copypasted from the full spec page on - http://www3.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=20386&agid=667 )
    .
    • Which of these connection options would offer me the best quality?

I've seen the 22" Samsung 2243 recommended once or twice in a few threads on boards, but there are at least 2 different types on sale with seemingly identical spec:

    - the Samsung SyncMaster 2243NW for €148 ( http://www3.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=24736&agid=603 )
    and
    - the Samsung SyncMaster 2243LNX for €152 ( http://www3.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=23303&agid=603 ).
    • What's the difference between them? As far as I can tell one is "black" and the other is "gloss black". Is that it? Or is it something more significant?

How does the LG W2242T-PF 22" (€148) measure up? ( http://www3.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=21582&agid=603 ) Is there some feature missing that I should be looking for?

    Keyboard Qs:
    • How reliable are wireless keyboards & mice? I'd like to be able to sit away 3 or 4 feet away from the screen when typing but if they're unreliable sometimes would I be as well to buy some USB extension cables and a wired USB keyboard & mouse to achieve the same thing?

I'd be really grateful if anyone who bought a 22" TFT monitor or uses wireless peripherals would give their 2 cents on what they think if it, and what's good value for money. At the minute I'm leaning towards buying one of the Samsungs, I still haven't decided what I'll do about the keyboard & mouse.
