Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Pity it takes a Man City fan to respond though - what's wrong with that other guy?

Lol - we'll have to hope so, it's a fairly major indictment of the guy's intellect otherwise!

You're feeding him by replying to him, if in fact he is a troll.

Either way, once was enough to say it and make your point

rubbish game. Bizzare lack of ambition by benitez with this team selection.

It speaks ! If you did not want to answer with something constructive then you should have said nothing. Oh wait, you did say nothing !

Back on topic and Rafa does not look to pleased there heading to the dressing room. Liverpool have not been in this game at all.

It's bad when the match thread is more interesting than the match.

Gerrard appears to be at a different game.

Someone decried Bolton as being the Anti-Football, I saw the Bolton-Pool game and they showed far greater skill and willingness to play then this bunch of broadswords.

Still thats a problem for Rafa to solve.

Careful now - that could be deemed backseat modding.

Either way, the game is shite and this thread is pissing me off so I'm headin to bed.

I look forward to reported posts in the morning.

    Is Gerrard playing?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,342 ✭✭✭Ardent

benayoun & lucas in particular off the pace horribly. A re-shuffle needed badly during the break.

    he's on the pitch..

    doing more watching tho

That was the implication. Guess I should use those annoying smileys.

I think Stoke are playing well, by far the better side. I can see pool pushing on in the second half though, tense 45 mins ahead of me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,441 ✭✭✭✭jesus_thats_gre

Really poor performance so far by Liverpool. I can deal with Kuyt or Benayoun being on the pitch by themselves but both of them together is painful..

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Gerrard hasn't got into a dangerous position once. Lucas passing is poor again. I reckon the pitch is as hard as concrete and its got a mid-winter look to its surface.

  • Site Banned Posts: 26,456 ✭✭✭✭Nuri Sahin

I can't imagine Benitez changing the system, i.e two holding midfield players, thats not his style.

Riera is playing fairly well and been our best player so far. He's getting some joy down the left putting some fabulous balls in the box that Kuyt should have scored.

Benayoun off Kuyt on the right (for work rate purposes as Carra has is having a bit of mare) Keane and Torres up top, Gerrard slot back in to centre mid with Lucas to come off.

Thats what I'd do, although can't see Benitez agreeing :pac:

Hopefully Torres at least will come with a half an hour to go, love him to come on now but just being realistic.

As a United fan I have to say Stoke have looked dangerous here like they did against United the other week until Ronaldo baited a player into a silly tackle. This is not a guaranteed 3 pointer for the pool that's for sure.
Definitely not a pretty side but their not toothless either.

I don't know why I bother watching Liverpool playing anymore, its just brings negativity to mind most of the time.

Absolutely appalling viewing, and they are so lucky not to be behind at this stage.

I'll be glad when Benitez leaves the Premier League, its horrible to watch football played by his teams.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,942 ✭✭✭missingtime

If liverpool dont win today then it will look like fergie will have rattled benitez.
It sounds like the team are playing like they are rattled...I was afraid that benitez's speech would have done something like this.

Still second half to go...Torres and Keane ;) 1 each. Both assisting the other.

    Couldn't agree more.

After City, I've probably watched Liverpool more than any team and 9 times out of 10 it's a snorefest.

Points on the board blah, blah, blah, but it's bloody shite to watch.

Well, then don't watch Liverpool. Fairly simple mate.

Yeah its much more fun conceding 3 goals against forrest. Great craic to watch.

Good deflection. A solid argument for why Liverpool aren't crap to watch.

    My point still stands.

Did you read what you quoted, I said I don't know why I bother. In others words I am considering that solution very seriously.

I don't care if we play **** football, I still love watching it.

    Meh.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,824 ✭✭✭ShooterSF

I agree even mates of mine that are pool fans say it. Hell my aul man is a City fan and an ABU and still will watch anyone but pool matches. It's the protect the clean sheet first attitude that naturally makes it a bit dull for neutrals.

I read it... and I plainly and to the point said don't watch us while you were considering/contemplating it.

Just trying to nudge you in the the direction of your comment ;)

pool could be 3 - 0 down at this stage lol

how many chances to stoke need to be gifted before they get a goal. >.<

Rock solid actually. I like watching my team win. I don't care if a fan of a different team doesn't.

Chance after chance after chance... they need the three points but I'd say Liverpool might fluke the draw

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,777 ✭✭✭✭keane2097

Torres is warming up according to SS.com...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 605 ✭✭✭ghouldaddy07

I wreckon pool will get the late winner but both teams should be docked points for this preformance.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,435 ✭✭✭✭redout

Here comes Torres at last. Should liven things up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,777 ✭✭✭✭keane2097

Is anyone keeping track of this on skysports.com with the live commentary?

The picture they have up of Tony Pulis is distractingly awful!
