september in brisbane things to do

    Im going hols to brisbane for one month in either july august or september to visit my brother I would like to ask which of these months would be best and also what is there to do?what should I do over there

    i got there in mid-August 2006 and a few weeks in on the river that goes through the middle of brisbane there was a massive fireworks display.
    fully coordinated through out the city. fireworks firing from all bridges at he same time, one after another, etc.
    very impressed.
    that looks like Sept 12th (river fire)
