    I've never really understood the whole "Irish and proud" thing from people who aren't Irish. I mean, fair enough for Irish people to be proud of their country and stuff, but there's a reason people laugh at the americans that come over tracing their roots and buying authentic claddagh coasters and tennis ball sized pieces of real irish turf.

    I guess people can claim to have Irish heritage without trouble, but saying that you're as Irish as anyone else even though you grew up elsewhere? :rolleyes:
