Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I deleted the folder My Documents from windows a few months back and it loads of sub folders with pictures of weddings and Christening, holidays, i dont know what i was thinking. I checked the recycle bin and nothing. I downloaded a program called "Power Data Recovery" and i have two harddrives connected, C:/drive & D:. I have scanned both drives today and all it brings back is images from websites etc and a few photos.

Just wondering if its even possbile to recovery the pictures?

    Any tips

In XP your My Documents folder is stored here

    C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\My Documents

Assuming USERNAME is your username for XP and you haven't changed your username at any point.

    www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec
    free
does not write to the disk so won't make things worse
    open source

of course if you have overwritten the data then recovery is virtually impossible
