Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No Water upstairs - Sink/Shower

Looking for some help from plumbers out there

Last Thurs a pipe burst in back yard beside outdoor tap due to frost .

We turned off the water supply to this tap and have blocked the pipe ( until we get a new qualpex pipe in place )

Now we turn back on the water and we have NO water in the bathroom/shower upstairs .

Funny thing is that when we turn on the hot water tap in upstairs sink , the cistern fills with water .

We have bled the radiators and even sent the mains water back through system from kitchen sink , but to no avail.

There is a trickle coming through the bathroom sink upstairs .

Both water tanks in attic are full and large tank continues to fill .( I dont know what the small tank is doing )

Will now have to wait until Monday for plumber.

Anyone know what could be wrong as we can't light a fire until its sorted

If the tank in the attic is full you are airlocked upstairs. If there is a mixer at the kitchen sink, open the cold tap up stairs, come back to the kitchen , open the hot tap , nothing coming out , now block the outlet for the water with one hand & turn on the cold with the other & force the water up the hot tap, when it comes out in the bathroom upstairs you should be sorted. One the air is cleared it will run as normal.

Thanks Bertie , We followed your advice which was great to get.....However we had to go a step further ............

We attached a hose from kitchen tap to bathroom tap.......opened both and pushed the water back up through the system into tank........

This fixed the problem ......Must have saved us at least a hundred euro
