haynes manuals

need to get a haynes(if possible)manual for 1988 golf mk1 gti cabriolet,have checked halfords(online my local didnt have one in stock) and they say that the vw golf,jetta and scirocco mk1 1.5,1.6 and 1.8 74-84 up A to a should be the one for me as it says it covers most things on cabriolet BUT on haynes own website it says that this book DOES NOT cover my car...any advice..thanks in advance

check and ask on some of the uk Vw owners sites. A wealth of info on those and they'll point you in the right direction.

Maybe e-mail Haynes directly?They should have a manual for the cabrio, as it lasted up untill 93 didnt it?

YOu can download them as torrents or iso files there freely available over the net. downloaded one the other day!!

They probably only mean that the book will not deal with any aspects of the Cabriolet mechanism.

Mechanically I would say the book would be fine !
