    Hello All,
I have snapped a car key in the door of my 99 Nissan Micra. I have both pieces of the key. I saw the thread below.

    http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055314191&highlight=locksmith

Now I am in North Kildare so Ennis is a non runner but does anyone know of a locksmith in the Maynooth area who could make a new key from 2 pieces?

    Thanks

Are you a member of the AA ?
They might be able to sort you out.

No I am not in the AA. So that isn't a runner.

    I saw this as well

So I know it can be done.

Any decent lock smith will do it, i had the same problem last year and got it done no bother, he took copy of tax book an cut one from a code he got from the info on book.
might be worth checking the car manual to see if a key code is listed in it somewhere

Crother's in Walkingstown can do this they say. So I will report back tomorrow. 30 squids so better than calling out a mechanic.

Thats a good price hope it works out, but it does mean another micra back on the road!!!!!!!

Crother's of Walkinstown made the key up no bother. Swapped the chip from the old one to the new one.
The lad seemed more worried about the chip than the key.
    Thirty Euro per key.
    Always have a spare!!!!
