Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I don't know what xapn is but what I really like about these photographs is that in about 40-50 years time these will be very similar to the old pictures we see in Pubs of Dublin now from the 50s/60s.

Love some of the angles too.

That is a really nice collection of B&W's & a really interesting Camera.
You must have had fun capturing those shots. The first one is my fav, mixing old with new. Very well done Walter.

the day which i shot these pics has very clear sky ,not even a tiny cloud on it,i think thats the reason there is very low contrast on the sky.
another thing is most these pic have a big range EV(ev6+),i have to lower the contrast to make the gray tone looks smooth。

    thank you for your comments.

4th, 8th and last would be my favourites. Nice looking camera and pity they stopped making them.

gorgeous. The custom house one I might orient slightly upwards so as not to crop off the top of the building. I always preferred inventive vertical use of the xpan as opposed to the more conventional horizontal use (why do most people just think panorama->landscape->horizontal->horizon 1/3 up/down ??!?). I love the shot of the spire.

    Lovely set there.

#5 It's a pity you cropped off the top of the Dome.

#6 & #9 The reflections are too distracting

#1 is a cracking shot. Well done using the panorama vertically to such good effect.

Have you seen the exhibition thread in the Stickies?

the original photo of custom house has the full view of the top,but its not in 100% horizontal,so i crop the top a little bit.will bring the tripod next time for serious photography.

the flare on NO.6 and 9 i can do nothing with it.the EV is out of my film range, maybe i should take off the UV next time.

Very nice indeed. Different I must say :)

Taking off the UV will not reduce the burn from direct reflections like in #6 but may possibly help in #9 where there is a lot of flare.

Great shots. Hard to pick a fav from them. As animal rights said in a few years we'll be looking back at them 'the times of old' Irelands tallest building !!
