Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good dressmaker in Limerick City or suburbs please?

I need a dress made for a formal event for my teenage daughter.

And does anyone know of good fabric shops in the region other than Hickeys in Cruises Street?

Hi Sparky,

Thanks for your help. I have a pattern so I'm just looking for a good, basic seamstress/dressmaker rather than a designer.

I know when I was my teenager's age (about 150 years ago :rolleyes:) it was very easy to find someone, but I'm at a loss at the moment.

The function isn't for a few months, but I'm anxious to put get things in motion.

I have had some negative feedback about Fitrite recently.

But I certainly will investigate Sew and Sew.

If anyone has any other recommendations, they would be really appreciated.

beautiful brides on thomas street have a fantastic dressmaker who alters the dresses, she makes debs dresses etc. too..

If you go into Hickeys in Cruises Street, they will give you a list of dressmakers in Limerick.

Eventually a friend of a friend agreed to make the dress.

Hi. I am looking for a dress designer/dressmaker in Limerick/Cork/Tipp area. I know there are the usual well know designers MMC, Fiona Whyte etc but I think they might be beyond my budget:mad:. Anyone heard of Nora's designs in patrickswell?
