    Lads,

The fathers car (06 Focus Ghia, 35k km) broke down a few weeks ago. Sorted with a jump start, but did the same the other night. Popped a new battery in last night as was advised by a mechanic friend over the phone without seeing the car. Since then the battery light has been on.

I'm thinking altenator, but can anyone else give advice on anything else it could be. Just dropped in into the garage for him there so waiting for them to call.

As an aside, anyone wanna guess the cost:D
    Cheers,

    Eoin

    Alternator or belt probably.

p.s. You should never bump start a car fitted with a cat.

With leads is fine. A push start isn't.
