2 player tournament Fifa 09. Is it possible?

Hi, bought Fifa 09 over the weekend to play with my brother off the one box. Had some great games against each other so far with exhibition mode but can't figure out how to set up a tournament for the two of us to play against each other or if it's possible.

From what I can see you can only select 4 teams you want to play with in a tournament regardless of number of teams playing altogether. Fair enough, we thought we'd just choose 2 each and one of us play the opposition in each game.
However when the screen with the controllers is displayed where you choose which team you want to play, both controls will only allow choosing one of the selected 4 teams. Can't seem to choose the other team with the second controller.

Anyone any ideas? Used to be able to do this last console football game I played which was on the bloody sega, surely it's not too much to be able to have a real player on each side 15 years on? Of course I could be missing the blindingly obvious here

Just set all the teams to be human. You won't be able to control a CPU side. Theres a little icon directly to the left of the team name when you are choosing the four teams - a little man icon to show its a human control team. I think you need to press X on each team (can't rem exactly - not in front of the xbox).

not sure if I understand what you mean. so you can only control 4 teams max or you can make all teams in the tournament human and play all of them?

Yeah me and my mates tried to set up a wee league with 4 teams, one controlled by each but we couldn't find a way to do it!

I'd love for someone to make a fool of me by tellin' me ya can though!?
