your secret favourites...

Everyone has their favourite pictures that other people praise and it makes them feel like a great photographer. But do you have a shot that isn't that typical sort of 'wow' but you love it because it feels like it's yours? You know, where you maybe broke the rules a little and nobody else seems to appreciate it, but you love it anyway?

Here's a starter for ten. I also have a sharp version (it's next door on flickr to this one) but i actually don't like it so much.

I liked this one just as soon as I saw the slide. I don't know why, maybe because It's so futuristic and at the same time so 70's. Having grown up on 70's and 80's sci-fi movies it appeals to me. same aesthetic. I don't think it ever got the attention it deserved :-)

This is one of my secret fav's....lt's my teenage Son heading to college really early in the morning, l love it because l have very few shots of him as he hates the camera...(as does my daughter!)
l guess l'm just a typical inner city proud mammy...:)

At the Cricket World Cup in Barbados in 2007. So where did i break the rules (my rules) here? I don't usually point the camera at strangers.... or for that matter people in general. The sun must have gone to my head. :eek:

This is my secret favourite photo! Everytime I see it I remember sunny Lanzarote and I get a pang of nostalgia.
It was taken on the plane coming home. All the little scratchmarks on the plane window are infact crystal formations
from being up so high up in the plane in cold temps.

not because I feel it has any great undiscovered photographic qualities, but because it was taken almost exactly one year ago, far far away, in a place that I would never have had access to except for the kindness of somebody I've never met.

Brings back memories of good times.

lovely shot Julie - as I'm miles away from everywhere , I wish i had more belief in this shot , and put it out more - a lot didn't like it - but if it was good eneogh for Sasar , then ..
