    instead of working? well i guess there is crime? or hibernation..? hibernations a good one. very snuggly. entrepreneurial ventures, or maybe the dole?

    Heard of a scam recently where 3 Eastern Europeans were coming in through Shannon airport every few weeks, signing on for the dole in Co. Clare, collecting and returning home. The taxi driver who drove them to the office for signing on apparently reported them. We badly need more people to report social welfare fraud of all sorts.

    One hears a lote of stories like this-wonder how true they are- anyway the harsh reality is that if this is going on it would just be small numbers of cheats and truth is the numbers of genuine people flooding through the doors of the dole offices is frightening

    Oh this story is true alright. Rumtumtiddles. The three guys have been apprehended.
    The numbers of genuine people signing on is staggering, however, I agree. The reputation of our country abroad had nosedived in recent months which is obviously discouraging inward investment. Hopefully our big win in Rugby yesterday will lift spirits and up our profile in a positive way.
