    Hello People!!
Haven't been on in ages, I've been on placement for eleven weeks (I think..ive lost the ability to count in that time), and studying for Gamsat!

Had a bit of an accident on the ward last week, got my hand stuck between a bed and a glove box holder, spent my evening in A+E and am now a laughing stock amongst student nurses:(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,765 ✭✭✭Jessibelle

LOL Sue, thats the first thing that made me smile all day (babysitting teething child leads to a frayed Jessibelles nerves... :( )
I'm all excira and delira cause I'm getting a tour of the TCD Medical Faculty this week, and RCSI the week after. I wonder would they notice if I didn't leave when the tour was done.... ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,954 ✭✭✭✭Larianne

You doing the shadow day Jessibelle? That sounds great. Is that a new thing, coz never heard of it when I was scoping out the place last year? Should be fun.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,765 ✭✭✭Jessibelle

I am for TCD, and eh, I believe I pestered/bullied them into it in the RCSI, I'm going to the open day in Jan but was on the phone/email so often the nice school secretary organised a student ambassador for me. I'm not sure if I should be mortified or pleased as punch :D
I don't know if it's entirely a new thing but it seems to depend on demand, when I was in with the Mature Student Officer in TCD, she said last year there wasn't sufficient demand for the medical school so it never happened. Can't wait!!! It's like waiting for Santa, only 4 more sleeps..... :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,373 ✭✭✭Dr Galen

    yep there was.

dod we need to formally organise something, i.e booking an area in a bar or will there be small enough numbers just to head out and meet up. First one there, grab a good spot?

We could meet at Hogans then tottle over to the Kareoke bar if thats still planned, and south side suits all? (As a northsider, I'll ensure I have my shots and passport up to date ...;)) Or if the Kareoke bars on Capel street were where folks wanna warble, maybe meet in Slattery's or the Church bar? Do Kareoke booths need to be booked?
