Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Today I can confirm my entry for Rally Norway, without a car, but with Phil as my codriver. I’m still working flat out to find a solution regarding the car, and will let you know as soon as I have more news.

    Petter S.

    Link so Petter's webpage.

Hopefully he will find a competitive car. I would hate if he does not get some sort of drive this year.

According to RTÉs John Kenny, there also may still be an outside chance that he will get an entry for RI: http://www.rte.ie/sport/motorsport/2009/0114/johnkennywrc2.html

    Fingers crossed eh?!

He is well overrated as was completely overpaid at subaru. Since he got released he has not got many offers....the reason being he hasnt been competitive since 2003.

He is far from overrated and I have no idea what he is been paid and I really don't give a t**s either, his wage is fup all to do with anything.

He is one of the most committed drivers in the WRC and has huge talent. He has been plagued by reliability problems and sheer bad luck for the last two years (2006 & 2007). The Impreza could not match the pace of the Fords or the Citroens either for the last 2 years. He won the WRC in 2003 finished 2nd in 2004 & 2005 (Finishing second to Loeb is very competitive me thinks).

EDIT: How do you know what offers he has and hasn't got?

You obviously are not that well versed in what makes/qualifies a good World class rally driver...

I'd be interested to know who you would suggest to replace him should a drive become available?

    Nicolas Vouilloz

It is very funny but what the fup has it to do with driving down a rally stage. He is normally smart enough to sit in the car when he rallies down a stage.

Nicolas Vouilloz may be talented but he has some ground to make up on Petter Solberg considering his best result in the WRC is ninth place at the 2004 Wales Rally GB, driving a Peugeot 206 WRC.

Solberg's potential was being recognised by the end of 1998, after winning a comparative test drive, he agreed to drive for three years as a junior pilot for the Ford Motor Company. Initially expected by Malcolm Wilson to maintain a somewhat lower profile, Solberg actually became a nominated points-scorer for Ford on all events...

    Active Rallying: 1998 - present
    Teams: Ford, Subaru
    Rallies: 139
    Championships 1 (2003)
    Rally wins: 13
    Podium finishes: 35
    Stage wins: 321

Well he is driving a 06 Xsara for Rally Norway anyway. No teams or sponsors named yet.
I can now confirm that we will start Rally Norway in an Citroen Xsara 2006 model.

A lot has to organized before we come to Hamar. Information regarding the team, who will run the car and sponsors will be announced at a press conferance before Rally Norway.

    Petter Solberg
