Vodafone live on prepay 2g iphone 2.2

Just a quick question, I current have a 2g iphone 1.1.4 and am able to connect to vodafone live using the proxy.pac method that was posted here long ago. But if i upgrade to 2.2 will i still be able to set this up? Has anyone done this and confirm it works?
