Damn, I won't be able to make any of those dates I'd say. Results out 26th and a re union the 3rd with students I worked with last year. Feck.

Just as well anyways, I'd say I'll need months of practice to get good at pool again*

    * I was never good anyways but still

    Hey all,

So another Social event....due to the success of the last pool tournament I am running another one. This will be slightly different to the last...

    Rules:
    1) Your opponent will be picked from a hat.
    2) All games excluding the final will be best of 3.
    3) The final will be best of 5.
    4) Prize - the glory of being crowned cork boards pool champion.
    5) Cost to enter - No entry fee, just split the cost of paying for the table
    6) When playing the black 'pick and stick' will be used. i.e. pick the pocket you are aiming to get the black into and stick with it.

That's it for now....may add more rules if I think of them.

If you are interested in playing then post here and say so. I propose we have it on Friday 26th June or Friday 3rd of July in the Mardyke....Please pick one of these dates or suggest some alternatives.

    No interest?

    /kingtut's efforts.

    Hi guys,
I would be interested in joining this social outing "thing"! I recently graduated college and looking to meet some new interesting people. I hear most of you are "non Cork". I am a native myself. Do I qualify? :P

I'm not sure about the ages or any of that so...

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,579 ✭✭✭Webmonkey

I recently graduated as well. I really wish I could make more of these outings :(

    Hi Marianne,

Everyone is welcome. You are correct, most people on this are not from Cork however everyone is welcome. We have no screening process, entry fee or age limit, howevever as the organiser of the group feel free to give me all your money! Drinking isn't a cheap sport after all.

If you have any ideas for events feel free to post them here.

Past events have been drinks night...ie. pub crawl, dinner, cinema trip, bowling, pool....etc.... Enjoy!
