Second Soccer Forum Beers - Xavi6 : The Homecoming - Sat 21st Feb

Well folks.

After some discussion, a date has been decided for the Second Official Soccer Forum Beers. Co-inciding nicely with Xavi6 actually being in the country, we have opted for Saturday 21st Feb. A venue hasn't been decided, but it will be in Dublin City. It will be in The Porterhouse Central, map below.

That's plenty of notice for everyone.

there's plenty of football on that day from a morning kick off to an evening game

Arsenal v Sunderland 15:00
Bolton Wanderers v West Ham United 15:00
Middlesbrough v Wigan Athletic 15:00
Stoke City v Portsmouth 15:00
Manchester United v Blackburn Rovers 17:30

some people will be at the venue for the early game, and go on all evening.

so, arrive any time you want.

suggestions for venue welcome, and a mod can change the thread title when a decision has been made.

Otherwise I will go. I nominate the Czech Inn on Parliament Street. A nice quaint venue, very cosy, friendly doorstaff, attractive bar and loungestaff and plenty of women to go around (just ask for Dimitri).

Czech in my hole, we have enough supporting the "foreign" game as it is.

I'll be there,

I reckon we should start this one around lunchtime to watch the game so we need:

A big screen TV,
Space,
A Pool table preferably so I can afford to hustle for by beers.

I suggest the Woolshed on Parnell Street. I mean a Sports bar Is the logical place for a soccer forum meet.

I suggest that too just to annoy Xavi. The date was already picked because of him. The venue should be picked to annoy him.

I'll be there. However I have a match away to Clontarf that day so won't be able to make it in for the morning game, or most likely the afternoon game.
Evening game is 50:50.
I will be there later on though

As for the distance from coppers, if we're watching the lunchtime kick offs I don't think the Geographical distance is the problem, I'd be more worried about the chronicological one.

Oh I didn't realise we were actually serious on the Coppers buzz. i've lost the passion for the place in the last 6 months tbh!

BUT, if it's close to Coppers then Bleeding Horse/ Baggot St pubs/ Flannerys are all decent shouts.

Well u can always stay in pub till close then go to Coppers but the queue is a pain in the tits. Sure see where the wind takes us. Pick a pub and get the groundwork in first anyway!

Porterhouse Central?

I'd say a decent location for everything with it being on Grafton street/Nassau Street, big screens, and "proper beers" for all the testerone filled, butch, manly men around here.
